Depends on the class, but: lecture with questions, discussion, group work, lots of critical thinking, casual
What materials and media do you use in the classroom?
video, powerpoint, prezi, handouts.
What is the most engaging assignment you give?
10 things that make a group civilized. First in pairs, then as a class. Harder than it sounds!
When grading a student, what do you look for?
Effort, grammar, original thought.
What kind of student would love your class?
One that asks questions, thinks, and can synthesize information, not just regurgitate it.
What is one piece of advice you have for students?
Do not email me and ask 'did I miss anything'? Yes, you did. Show up!

Many, actually. I'm sort of a polyglot of history, the history of religion, and pop culture.

Actually finishing my PhD. Oh, and you know, having a life I want to live.
Are you currently involved in something interesting outside the classroom?
I'm a geek. I volunteer for Phoenix ComicCon.
Is there anything else the student should know before taking your class?
That learning shouldn't just be about reading a book or taking a test. It should be something one does all the time. Don't be afraid to say 'I don't know.'
