Depends on the class and assignment. For papers, thoughtful development of ideas, good reasoning/support, and effective organization.

This sounds like a trick question. It really depends on the class and the student. Though I do like the use of The Dumbest Generation in my comp classes.

What is your style of teaching?
Student-centered when possible. Lots of discussion, small group work, etc. It's important that students don't just consume information but that they create it.

What materials and media do you use in the classroom?
Blackboard, YouTube, Word, Diigo for media. Materials include lots of online articles for the most up to date information on topics of interest.

What is one piece of advice you have for students?
If you're having problems or are unsure of something, ask questions and use office hours. So many people who fail could have prevented it by being proactive.
